Clement Rescue & EMS was organized by the original members in 1979 who saw the need to volunteer and provide pre-hospital care to the citizens of the Clement community and surrounding areas in Sampson County, NC. The original members were certified and recognized by the state on February 19, 1980 to organize what is now Clement Rescue & EMS Inc.® Their first call was run February 22, 1980 at the EMT – Basic (EMT-B) level. Clement Rescue & EMS became incorporated in July of 1989, with the board members being: Gregory Jackson, Joyce Ann Williams, Ricky Worley, W. A. Bullard, & Mary Jackson.
Clement Rescue & EMS Inc.® is currently staffed by 21 active volunteer members which provide EMS services to the citizens of the Clement community and surrounding areas primarily at night from 6:00PM to 6:00AM Monday through Thursday and from 6:00PM Friday Night through 6:00AM Monday morning. Clement Rescue & EMS Inc.® is assisted 24 hours a day by Clement Volunteer Fire Department® with EMS services by their First Response vehicle - Medic 10. EMS services are provided to the citizens of the Clement community and surrounding areas by Sampson County EMS® paid personnel staffed ambulances daily from 6:00AM to 6:00PM at the Emergency Medical Technician – Paramedic (EMT-P) level. EMS services at the EMT-P level are provided to the southern half of the Clement area by a Quick Response Vehicle (QRV) based at Roseboro Rescue & EMS base staffed by Sampson County EMS® paid personnel and to the northern half of the Clement area by an ambulance also staffed by Sampson County EMS® paid personnel based at Plain View EMS® nightly from 6:00PM to 6:00AM.
